Dumfries Drum Day

Give The Drummer Some

Dumfries Drum Day is Scotland’s only dedicated drumming festival. A day packed with live performances, educational workshops, hands-on activities, and inspiration for all ages.

Whether you’re an experienced player, total beginner, or just a music fan, this event brings the local and national drumming scene together in one unforgettable celebration.

Set in the heart of Dumfries, the festival blends big stage energy with grassroots creativity, proudly championing young talent, local artists, and the power of rhythm to build community.

What’s on offer?

Dumfries Drum Day features a jam-packed schedule of activities running across multiple locations. While the main event returns to the historic Loreburn Hall, the energy is expanding across the town this year with a special festival edition of Sonic Labs at The Stove.

What People are Saying

  • We attended Dumfries Drum Day for the first time and it was very well organised. Our grandson was playing for the first time on stage with the live band. The band were exceptionally great with the young drummers playing on stage.

  • Cat Myers' Dumfries drum clinic was incredible. It was perfect timing for us as my daughter had her first drum lesson this week. Seeing Cat play was incredible and the highlight of the day for me. It was truly eye-opening for me as a non-musician and inspirational for my daughter. Cat had people in the audience showing emotion - there is something about the way she plays that brings pure joy. I've been pricing up drum kits today as she made such an impression.
